Special Cleaning Instructions
Cellular Shades
Gentle detergents and dry cleaning could potentially damage your cellular shades. It is advisable to perform monthly maintenance by dusting and vacuuming. If spot cleaning is necessary, use mild soap. For stubborn stains or extensive soiling, consider reaching out to a certified ultrasonic cleaner from our network.
Sheer and Layered Shades
Regularly remove dust using a feather duster, vacuum with low suction, or blow away dust with a hair dryer set on a cool setting. In dry conditions, static may occur. If the front and back panels seem to stick together, use an anti-static product.
Ultrasonic cleaning is also an acceptable cleaning method.
Vinyl Vertical Blinds
Vinyl vanes can be taken off and submerged in water for cleaning. To dissipate static electricity, apply a thin coating of gentle detergent to the vanes.
Sheer Vertical Blinds
During the production of sheer fabrics, steam pressing is applied, but it is advisable to re-steam them at a low temperature before hanging. Avoid ironing out any permanent pleats, and ensure the fabric is taken off the vanes before the steaming process.
For cleaning sheer fabrics, they are machine washable. Utilize the gentle cycle with warm water and a mild detergent, while steering clear of chlorine bleach if possible. Hang the damp fabric on the louvers and reshape them. To facilitate drying, maintain the louvers in the open position.
Natural Shades
Regularly use a brush attachment for light vacuuming to maintain the cleanliness of the shades. Avoid the use of water or liquid cleaners.
Wood Blinds
To maintain blinds with painted or stained finishes, use a spray polish and a soft cloth for cleaning. It's advisable to avoid using water on any wooden products for optimal results.
Fabric Window Treatments
Avoid spot cleaning for fabric window treatments, as it is not advisable. Refrain from using water, club soda, soaps, or cleansers on them. It is recommended to entrust the cleaning of all fabric window products to a professional drapery cleaner or a dry cleaner with expertise in handling decorative fabrics.
For routine upkeep of your fabric window treatments, employ the brush attachment on your vacuum. Gently run it over the treatments, including up and down the folds on draperies, to eliminate dust and particles. Should the draperies require more extensive cleaning, opt for professional cleaning services.
Shutters
For a deeper cleaning beyond dusting and vacuuming, employ a diluted solution of mild detergent in water, maintaining a 5% ratio, and administer it using a cotton cloth. Ensure to rinse the surface with plain water to eliminate any lingering detergent residue, and then dry it thoroughly with a cloth.
Motorized Shade Remote Controls
Avoid immersing the remote or applying cleaners directly to it. Gently clean the plastic surfaces of your remotes by wiping them with a damp cloth soaked in a mild soap solution.
